Job Context
- The Site Planning Engineer is the part of the shared services team and will be providing all necessary assistance to the construction supervision team with respect to all planning and scheduling issues and progress of the works. The incumbent will be responsible to stay at the site and for the monitor of the work progress daily during the construction and reports to the Line Manager / Head of Planning Department.
Job Responsibilities
- MASTER WORK PROGRAM:
- Discuss with Project Manager/Construction Manager regarding the materials and equipment requirements all through the project.
- Discuss with Project Manager/Construction Manager regarding the manpower / staff and sub-contractor requirements all through the project life.
- PLANNED VS. ACTUAL WORK PROGRESS MONITORING:
- Attend site and update the actual work progress status regularly.
- Collect the daily performance record of equipment.
- REVIEW OF MATERIALS / EQUIPMENT PLANNING:
- Collect the consumed materials and the requirements of remaining materials from the section heads and other related personnel if necessary.
- Collect the stock quantity of the materials from the Inventory Control Management Department (ICMD).
- MONITOR EFFECTIVE UTILIZATION OF RESOURCES:
- Visit construction sites frequently regarding to effective utilization of company resources (machinery, manpower, materials, vehicles, etc.).
- If any misuse or idle condition is observed of any resources, immediately inform to respective departments for remedy.
- CONSTRUCTION DEVELOPMENT:
- Study drawing carefully, compare field work with respect to drawing during site visit.
- IDENTIFY OBSTRUCTION AREAS:
- To maintain the smooth work flow, identify the obstruction of the under construction projects.

Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
- Graduation from any Public University will get preference
Experience Requirements
- 3 to 5 year(s)
Additional Requirements
- Practical/hands-on experience in planning engineer roles in Infrastructure projects for at least 3-5 years.
- Basic understanding of Engineering / Procurement / Construction documents.
- Efficient in software and programs such as AutoCAD, MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Familiar with e-Document management systems.
- Understanding of shop drawings.
- Construction knowledge/background will be preferable.
- Self-directed and highly-motivated.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy.
- Willingness to help and learn.
